| 3943 | 04:00-04:00 | 00:00 | After slow slewing and tracking to points on the 97 point grid, during the periods when the tracker is idle, there were noises that sounded like echoing thuds in the control room -- like a two large metal carts colliding in the distance in Carlsbad Caverns -- and that sounded like a plastic mallet striking an unknown part of the tracker in the dome. (John Good could not pinpoint the location of the noise audibly.) Did not seem to disturb the or hold up the test, or affect the tracker in any other way. No red lights on TDP, or HFC faults during or after these noises. Bad acceleration ramp suspected by John. | |
| 3942 | 01:00-01:00 | 00:00 | Starting Wavescope program on wave computer always produces "Hardware Initialization Failed" error. Suspect connections to wavescope hardware. Restarting mars computer and wave computer did nothing. Power cycling modem and controller unsuccessful. Matt and Jim checked connections in the CCAS tower and did not notice anything odd. | |
