HET Spectrophotometric Standard Stars



Starting in early 2021, we began using the CALSPEC spectrophotometric standard stars for LRS2-B, LRS2-R, and VIRUS. The subset in use is shown below (selected for declination and brightness).


Upon request, the RAs will select an available standard star for your program and observe it some time on the same night as your observation (usually). If you require specific stars to be observed or require observations at specific times during the night, you should submit those as targets within your program.


All standard star observations are available to all HET partners and can be accessed on TACC.
